About the Author

My name is Benjamin Plumb.

I’m a quiet person, a thinker, and a writer. For decades, I wore a mask of high-functioning competency — one that helped me succeed but slowly disconnected me from myself. That mask led to a divorce, bankruptcy, and two job losses in a row. What saved me wasn’t a reinvention — it was learning to stop hiding.

The core discovery at the heart of The Satisfied Introvert is what I call the “winning recipe” — the adaptive behaviors many introverts adopt to feel safe and acceptable in a loud, extroverted world.

At first, the recipe feels like a strength. But it often exacts a quiet cost: emotional fatigue, relational distance, and a lingering sense that you’re not being authentic with those around you or with yourself.

This site and this book are my way of coming home to myself and others as an introvert and inviting readers to do the same.

You built your survival strategy to feel safe. But your true safety lies in being yourself.
